To the Marshal of the E District of Columbia, Virginia Greeting:

We command you, that you summon John Hutchinson of Prince William County Va. to appear before the Honorable the Judges of the Circuit Court of the District of Columbia for the County of Alexandria, at the Court-House in the Town of Alexandria, on The Tuesday the 12th day of May Court, which commences on the first Monday of this month to testify and the truth to say, on behalf of Ariss Buckner & Bernard H Buckner in a certain matter of controversy, in our said Court depending and undetermined, between Harry Jackson & Fanny his wife and their two children & others (paupers) and them and this you shall in no wise omit, under the penalty of $333 33—And have then there this writ.
