The United States of America, To Edward Coles

Greeting

You are hereby commanded, that, all excuses and delays set aside, you be and appear before the circuit court of the district of Columbia, to be held for the county of Washington, on the first Monday of June next, to answer the petition for freedom of the bill of complaint of Mary Prior in the said court exhibited against you. Hereof you are not to fail, as you will answer the contrary at your peril.

Witness, Wm. Cranch esquire, chief judge of the said court, the 19 day of Jany 1815.
