You are hereby commanded to summon Thomas I Beatty Junior if he shall be found in the County of Washington in your said District (that all excuses and delays set apart) he be and appear before the Circuit Court of the District of Columbia to be held in and for the County of Washington at the city of Washington to answer the petition of James Thomas for his freedom, which he hath this day filed in the said court against him
Hereof fail not at your peril and have you then and there this writ. Witness Wm Cranch Esq Chief Judge of the said Court the 30th June 1809
