The Petition of Sylvia Lee humbly sheweth that she is a free person unlawfully held in bondage by one Elizabeth Smallwood, who claims your Petitioner as a slave. Wherefore she prays that sbpa may issue to said Elizabeth that she may appear & answer hereunto according to law.
