To the Honorable the Judges of the Circuit Court of the District of Columbia for the County of Washington
The Petition of George Kean otherwise called George a coloured man humbly complaining sheweth unto your Honors that your Petitioner is entitled to his freedom and is unjustly held in bondage by Oliver Kean and Silas Burke Exer of Jas Kean Jr who clam your Petitioner as their slave Wherefore your Petitioner prays your Honors to grant a subpoena to the said Oliver Kean and Silas Burke directed and such relief in the premises as may be according to law
