To the Honorable the Judges of the Circuit Court of the District of Columbia for the County of Washington:
The Petition of Elizabeth Herbert, and Caroline Herbert Humbly shews that they are entitled to their freedom, and they are informed that a certain Henry Miller claims to own them, and is now about to take possession of them and they pray that their right may be enquired into and that a subpoena may issued against said Henry Miller.
