Mima Queen v. John Hepburn. Bond
Know all men by these presents that we James S Morsell and Francis S Key are held & firmly bound unto John Hepburn in the full and just sum of one thousand two hundred dollars to the payment whereof well and truly to be made we bind ourselves and each of us our & each of our heirs Executors & administrators jointly & severally firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals and dated this 29th day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ten.
Whereas lately at a United States Circuit Court of the District of Columbia in the County of Washington, in June Term 1810, on a Petition for freedom depending in said Circuit wherein the said Mina Queen & Louisa her child were Petitioners and the said John Hepburn was Defendant, Judgment was rendered by the said Circuit Court for the said Defendant, and the said Petitioners having sued out a writ of error & filed a copy thereof in the Clerk's office of the said County of Washington, to reverse the Judgment on the said Petition, and a citation to the said John Hepburn having been signed according to Law.
Now the condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound said Mina Queen & Louisa her child the said Petitioners and Plaintiffs in error shall prosecute their writ to effect, and answer all damages and costs if they shall fail to make their plea good, then the above obligation to be void, else to remain in full force & virtue
