The United States of America to the Marshal of the District of Columbia Greeting
You are hereby commanded to Summon Thomas Corcoran that all excuses and delays set apart he be and appear before the Circuit Court of the District of Columbia for the County of Washington, to be held for the City of Washington on the fourth Monday of December next to answer unto the Petition of Ann Shorter on behalf of her daughter Salley for her freedom in the said court exhibited against him. Hereof fail not and have you then and there this writ. Witness William Ch Cranch Esq Chief Judge of the said Court the 28th June 1808. Issued the 1st July 1808.
