F S Key on the part of negro Ben respectfully petitions the Honble the Circuit Court of the district of Columbia for the County of Washington & stating that said Ben is illegally confined in the Gaol of Washington County prays your Honors to grant a writ of Habeas Corpus to the Marshall of the said district or the Jailor directed, that he may be brought before your Honors & discharged from his said imprisonment.
