Ann Brooks v. William D. Nutt. Complaint
Ann Brooks complains of William. D. Nutt in custody of the Marshall of a plea of trespass. For that the said Wm D Nutt, on the day of in the year 1833, at the county aforesaid, with force and arms in and upon the said Ann Brooks, and her did beat and otherwise ill treate and other wrongs to her the said Ann Brooks then and there did, against the peace of the U States, and to the damage of the said Ann Brooks five hundred dollars & therefore she brings suit &c
