Winny v. Alexander Moore. Complaint
Alexandria County to wit:
Winney (a pauper) in forma pauperis) complains of Alexander Moore in custody &c. For that the said Alexander Moore on the first day March in the year 1818 at the County aforesaid with force and arms made an assault upon the said Winney & then & there with stones & sticks did beat & evil entreat her, and imprisoned and illegally restrained her of her liberty. And then & there did her other injuries against the peace & dignity of the United States and to the damage of the said Winney of one hundred dollars & therefore she brings suit &c.
