Chloe Ann Marter v. Elizabeth Neale. Certificate of Importation of Slaves
Be it remembered that one this 4th Day of March 1814. Personally Came before me the undersigned Justice of Peace for said County, Zacha. Neale late of the County of Prince George in the State of Maryland, who removed from thence into the County Aforesaid within the last sixty Days, bringing with him the Five following Slaves Vizt. Negroe Jim aged about 25 years, Esther about 50 years, Nace about 14 years, Cloe about 20 years, and Mary about 4 years all his own Property, and the said Zachariah did then and there before me the said Justice, take the Oath prescribed and set forth in the fourth Section of the Statute Intitled an "Act to reduce into one the Several Acts Concerning Slaves free Negroes & Mulattoes
Given under my Hand & Seal this 4th Day of March 1814 as aforesaid

At a United States Circuit Court of the District of Columbia continued and held for the County of Alexandria the 27th day of April 1814. Zachariah Neale presented in Court this Certificate of the importation of Slaves, which is ordered to be recorded.
