China v. Benjamin D. Patterson. Affidavit of Benjamin D. Patterson
Benjamin D. Patterson appeard in open Court and made Oath that William Patterson is a Material Witness for him in the Suit now depending in this Honble Court in which Negroe Chaney is Plf. and himself defendant and that the said Witness is aged and infirm and now sick as this defendant beleives, and this deponant is apprehensive and does beleive that he will not be able to attend this Court during the present term, and that he lives out of this District but not as far as 100 miles therefrom.
