Came Frederick Koones and made oath that he well knew negro Charles and negro Lucy, to be the Property of Colo William Lyles of the State of Maryland, and he has understood and verily believes, she was a few years since Imported into the County of Alexandria in the District of Columbia.

Sworn to in Court this 29th day of June 1805
