If from the whole evidence aforesaid the Jury shall find that the Petitioner for a period of more than Eighteen years uninterrupted by her owner or owners, went at large in the Town of George Town, as free, claiming to be free, dealing as free, giving birth & maintaining th her children as free, and exercising the right of, and living as a free person with the knowledge of her owner or owners then it is competent for the Jury to presume that she had been lawfully manumitted, and that she is free
