To the Honorable The Judges of the Circuit Court of the District of Columbia for Washington County
Rachel Ann Williams of the District & County aforesaid represents that she is held in slavery by Samuel Stettinius of said District & County, and that she, is entitled the said Rachel, is entitled to her freedom, and humbly prays your honors to inquire into, & do, or cause justice to be done in the premises; and your petitioner will ever pray &c.
