Charlotte v. Tobias Watkins. Deposition of Mary C. Rooker

Personally appeared before the Subscriber a Justice of the peace for the County aforesaid, Mary C. Rooker, and made Oath in due form of Law, that Negro Woman Charlotte has for the last twenty two years previous to the marriage of her mistress to Mr John Graeff Jr[?] resided in Alexandria, and she verily believes that she (Negro Charlotte) never did at any time reside in any other place than Alexandria; and this Deponent further states that her sister (Mrs Graeff) did for the last four years previous to her marriage reside chiefly with her in Alexandria.
