William Thornton v. George Graham. Jury Instructions

 

If the Jury believe from the Evidence that the Petitioner came to this county, from Virginia, by the order or direction of George Graham, in the year 1821 and 1822, & has remained in this county ever since, claimed by the said Graham as his slave, then the jury may infer that the said Graham imported the said slave with intent to reside, & is entitled to his freedom.
