William Lewis v. Robert H. Perkins. Summons of Robert H. Perkins

 

District of Columbia, to wit:
The United States of America,
To the Marshal of the District of Columbia, Greeting:

You are hereby commanded to summon Robert H. Perkins if he shall be found in the County of Washington, that he be and appear in the Circuit Court of the District of Columbia, at rules to be held for the County of Washington, at the City of Washington, on the first third Monday of October next, to answer the bill of complaint of petition of freedom of negro William Lewis filed in Court here against him and others.

Hereof fail not at your peril; and have you then and there this precept.

Witness the Hon. W. Cranch, Chief Judge of the said Court.

Issued the first day of April 1846.
