To the Honorable the Judges of the Circuit Court of the District of Columbia for the County of Washington.
The Petition of Sally Moody otherwise called Sally humbly complaining sheweth unto your Honors, that your Petitioner is entitled to her freedom and is unjustly held in bondage by Azariah Fuller who claims your petitioner as his slave. Therefore your Petitioner prays your Honors to grant a subpoena to the said Azariah Fuller directed, and such relief in the premises as may be according to law.
