To the Marshal of the District of Columbia, Greeting:

You are hereby commanded to summon John R. Ratcliffe if he shall be found in the County of Washington, that he be and appear in the Circuit Court of the District of Columbia, at rules to be held for the County of Washington, at the City of Washington, on the first third Monday of October next, to answer the bill of complaint of Letty Lucas's petition for freedom filed in Court here against him and others.

Hereof fail not at your peril; and have you then and there this writ.
