Personally appeared in open Court, Thomas May, and made oath that he has reason to believe & does believe that the Defendant Keene will unless restrained by this Hon's Court, if the Judgt is [illegible] made final in the above cause, sell dispose off, or convey away out the Jurisdiction of this Court the petitioners in this cause.

Wherefore the said Plaintiffs prays the Court to suspend Judgt in said case until they may initiate proceedings in Virginia to have the will   of John Marshall under which they claim to be entitled to their freedom, admitted to probate according to the Laws of Virginia. & as in duty bound they will ever pray &c
