District of Columbia to wit
The United States of America to the Marshal of the District of Columbia, greeting
You are hereby commanded to summon Alexander Spalding late of the County of Washington, if he shall be found in the said County that all excuses set aside, he be and appear before the Circuit Court of the District of Columbia to be held for the County aforesaid at the City of Washington on the first Monday of June next to answer the petition of Sarah Green for her freedom, exhibited in the said Court against him.
Hereof fail not at your peril & have you then and there this writ
Witness the hon Wm Cranch Chief Judge of the said Court, the 30th Day of Jany 1813.
