The Petition of Henry Sumby respectfully represents unto your Honor that he is illegally and unlawfully held in bondage by one James P. Gannon who claims him as his slave. he therefore prays your Honors to grant him the U States writ of Subpoena, and as in duty bound with ever pray &c.
