Rachel Shorter et al. v. Ann Casanave. Summons of Ann Casanave

 

District of Columbia, to wit:
The United States of America,
To the Marshal of the District of Columbia, Greeting:

You are hereby commanded to summon Ann Casanave if she shall be found in the county of Washington, that (all excuses set aside) she be and appear before the Circuit Court of the district of Columbia, to be held for the county of Washington, in the city of Washington, on the first Monday of October next, to testify on the part of answer the Petition for freedom of Rachel Shorter in behalf of herself and her infant child Thomas, of Mary Shorter in behalf of herself and her infant child Charles, of Sarah Smith in behalf of herself and her infant children Thomas & Jeremiah and of William Shorter, in said Court exhibited against her

Hereof fail not at your peril; and have you then and there this precept.
