John Lee v. John S. Hutcheson & Benjamin Lewis. Summons of John S. Hutcheson & Benjamin Lewis

 

District of Columbia, to wit:

The United States of America,
To the Marshal of the District of Columbia, Greeting:

We command you, that you take John S. Hutchinson and Benjamin Lewis: if they be found within the County of Alexandria, in your said district, and them safely keep, so that you have their bodies before the Honorable the Juges of the United States' Circuit Court of the District of Columbia, for the County of Alexandria, at the Court-House in the Town of Alexandria, at the next Court, to answer John Lee of a plea of Trespass Assault & Battery & false imprisonment: Damage Five hundred dollars.

And have then and there this writ

Witness, the Honorable William Cranch, Chief Judge of the Circuit Court, of the District of Columbia, this 4th day of December 1826.
