William v. John Swann. Affidavit of Gerard Plummer

Gerard Plummer personally appeared before me and [strikethrough] affirmed that he has Known William for about fourteen years. that in early life he was held as the property of John Plummer of the County of Prince George State of Maryland with whom he then lived. that for the last five years or thereabout he has Known him to reside in the Town and the adjoining County of Fairfax, that he is now Claimed as the property of Sarah Plummer widow of the aforenamed John Plummer, that for the last five or seven months he has received the hire of William and paid it to the said Sarah Plummer.
