Nace v. William T. Swann. Affidavit of John Horner
County of Alexandria ss
This day came John Horner before me a Justice of the Peace of the County aforesaid and made solemn Affirmation that he is acquainted with a Black man called Nace claimed by William T Swann as his property. that he hired the said Nance from the said William T Swann at different times within the last five years in the Town of Alexandria and has had the said Nace in his employment in the said town under the said several hirings for more than one years.
That he understood that from said W. T. Swann that the said Nace had been brought from the State of Maryland
