Chloe Ann Marter v. Elizabeth Neale. Will of Sarah Neale

 

In the name of God Amen. I Sarah Neale of Prince George's County in the state of Maryland being sick and weak in body but of sound and disposing mind memory, & understanding considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof and being desirous to settle my Wourldly affairs and thereby be the better prepaird to leave this world when it shall please God to call me hence do therefore make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following; that is the say.

First and principally I commit my Sole into the hand of Almighty God and body to the earth to be decently buryd. at the discretion of my Executors herein after namd. and after my Just debts and funeral charges are payd I give and bequeath as follows.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my two Daughters Susanah Neale and Elenor Neale one half of my hole Estate of every kind and denomination whatsoever to be divided equally betwixt them share and share alike.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my son Theodora Neale one negro by name bob and no more.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my son Feilder Neale one negro boy named Charles and no more.

Item. I give and bequeath all the remainder of my Estate of every kind and denomination whatever unto my five sons Samuel Neale, Richard Neale, Zachariah Neale William Neale and John Neale and my two Daughters Susannah Neale and Elenor Neale to be equally divided amongst them all share and share alike.

And lastly I do constitute and appoint my two Sons Feilder Neale and Zachariah Neale Joint Executors of   this my last Will and Testament revoking and anulling all former wills by me heretofore made ratifying and confirming this and none other to be my last Will and Testament. In testamony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 8th day of January in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and ten.

Then came Abraham Clarke, Paul Talbert and Thomas Talbert the three subscribing Witnesses to the within last will and Testament and made oath on the holy evangely of Almighty God that they did see Sarah Neale the Testatrix therein named sign and seal this Will and heard her publish, pronounce and declare the same to be her last will and Testament, that at the time of her so doing she was to the best of their apprehensions of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding and that they respectively subscribed their names as witnesses to this will in presence of the Testatrix at her request and in the presence of each other.
