Mordecai C. Fitzhugh makes oath that Chloe the Petitioner in this case was a slave of his deceased brother Richard Fitzhugh of Virginia, & remained in his possession as a slave until within after years past, when he has understood, that she was sent by his said Brother Richard to his said (said Richards) son Richard Henry Fitzhugh then residing in George Town D. C.
