To the Honorable the Judges of the Circuit Court of the District of Columbia for the County of Washington.

The petition of Primus Garner respectfully represents that he is unjustly detained in servitude by Horratio R Merryman of the County and District aforesaid

Whereupon he prays that the same may be enquired of by your Honors and such relief granted him, as to your Honors may seem right and proper. And as in duty bound your petitioner will ever pray &c.
