Hezekiah Wood v. John Davis. Bond

 

Know all even by these presents that we Hezekiah Wood and Joseph Dove are held and jointly bound unto John Davis Maryann Davis & Teresa Davis in the sum of fourteen hundred dollars, to be paid to the said John Maryann & Teresa their certain attorney, Executors, administrators & assigns, to the which payment well and truly to be made we bind ourselves our heirs Executors & administrators, jointly & severally by these presents: Sealed with our seals & dated this thirteenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & ten.

Whereas the said John Davis, Maryann Davis & Theresa Davis have filed their petition for freedom in the Circuit Court of the United States for the District of Columbia in the County of Washington, against the said Hezekiah Wood, and have recovered a Judgement in the said case at the present December Term, from which said judgement the said Hezekiah Wood hath appealed & is about to sue forth a writ of error to the Supreme Court of the U States.

Now the condition of the above obligation is such that if the said Hezekiah Wood shall prosecute his writ with affect and assume all damages & costs if he shall fail to make this plea good, then the above obligation to be void else to remain in force.
