The Petition of Hellen Doynes humbly represents, that your petitioner is now held in bondage and claimed as a slave by Fleet Smith Esquire of the said County. That your petitioner is entitled to her freedom and she prays that the United States writ of subpoena may be issued, directed to said Smith & &c and for such other & further relief as to your Honors may seem just and proper &c
