John Parker v. Offutt. Summons of Offutt

 

District of Columbia....to wit,

The United States of America, To           Offutt

You are hereby commanded, that, all excuses and delays set aside, you be and appear before the circuit court of the district of Columbia, to be held for the county of Washington, on the fourth Monday of Decr next, to answer the bill of complaint of Petition for freedom of John Parker in the said court exhibited against you.
Hereof you are not to fail, as you will answer the contrary at your peril.

Witness, Wm Cranch esquire, chief judge of the said court, the 7th day of November 1815
