Petr offered to record of a recovery in the case of Rosamond Bentley vs A. Addison, in the words & issues following (here insert it) The clear authentication of which record is admitted to the admission of which Deft objects; But the Court admitted the record of both the petition, the proceedings & the testimony as evidence for the purpose of proving that Mary Davis therein mentioned was a free woman. to which opinion & admission of the Court the Deft excepts & prays that this their Bill of Exceptions may be signed sealed & invoked which is done accordingly
